One of the issues I’m pretty passionate about is that of family and home, which is why I’m really excited to start a new series tomorrow rooted in Colossians 3, “God’s Blueprint for a Biblical Home.” It’s just a four-week emphasis, but we’ll dive in and dig deep into text and context to see God’s plans for constructing our homes his way.

Fittingly, we launch the series tomorrow morning (September 6) with this year’s inaugural “family service” at both 8:30 and 10:30 (plus 9:00 in Bondurant). It’ll be a good touch to have all the elementary kids with us for the entire service.

Additionally, each week will contain a short “Man-on-the-Street” interview about the subject of home with people from our area. I think you’ll find it to be quite revealing and insightful.

Finally, as a way to provide some action points even beyond the short series, Amazon is making the digital edition of my (and my son’s) book “Home Run” available for free for five days: Sunday, September 6-Thursday September 10.
